A new Paneuropean institution consisting of an awards scheme, a conference and an annual catalogue for the European communication design industry is born. The European Design Awards is the comprehensive annual awards organization acknowledging the best of graphic design, illustration and multimedia design in Europe. It is based on a collaboration with twelve prestigious communication design magazines in Europe, representatives of which will compose the jury. All designers living or working withi Europe may participate. There are 40 categories divided in 10 groups. There are also 2 general awards selected among the finalists in the 40 categories. Depending on the category, there are different kinds of material and digital files you need to submit. The rule is that in print categories you need to submit hard copies, print outs as well as digital files and/or digital photos, whereas in the digital media categories you need to submit urls and/or digital files. This being the rule, there are exceptions, so read carefully the instructions for each category you’d like to submit work in. Each submission costs 120 Euro + 19% Greek VAT. The winners and finalists will be featured in an outstanding and comprehensive annual design publication, as well as on the ED-Awards web site.
